A short film that everybody should watch

New York City is amazing. Really amazing. I know this site is about New York but now, I want us to leave for a while the City and watch this short film. It is made by Chris Jordan.

It is unbelievable but, unfortunately, still true and horrible. The video lasts only 3 minutes and 42 seconds but it’s one of the most shocking things I have seen lately. Truly sad. Heart breaking. Absolutely depressing.

It is filmed in Midway Island (also known as Pihemanu) which is located in the North Pacific ocean and it is considered one of the most remote places on earth, since it is more than 2000 miles from the nearest continent. As its name suggests, Midway is roughly equidistant between North America and Asia, and lies almost halfway around the world from Greenwich (England) near the apex of what is being called the Pacific Garbage Patch, a swirling soup of millions of tons of plastic pollution. Midway Atoll is territory of the United States.

After you watch the film, you may watch the blog and donate.
