I have never seen the sunrise in New York City. I guess, it’s not the easiest thing to do; it should be like trying to see the stars. This morning I woke up very early and I was wondering how it’s like.
After a little research on the internet, I found that these are the best places to see the sunrise in New York City:
- New Jersey: From there you always have beautiful views of Manhattan skyline. The sunrise would be a bonus since you are looking east. Are you still wondering where in New Jersey? Another, more detailed post will follow.
- Brooklyn Bridge: that’s an easy one isn’t it? Though, this is something to add to my bucket list, for sure.
- Staten Island Ferry: this 25 minute ride provides a majestic view of New York Harbor and a no-hassle, romantic, boat ride and it’s free. On weekdays, there are is a ferry every 30 minutes.
- Battery Park: I read that the watching the sunrise from the WTC was an amazing experience. That was, of course, more than 10 years ago. When the new towers are finished, we may be able to see it with our own eyes. Till then, the view from Battery Park will be equally beautiful.
P.S. When you go, let me know what you think!
